Terms of use
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These terms cover Sonarlex Word Puzzle ("Sonarlex"), a word game you play inside ChatGPT, made by The Open Apps, Inc. ("we"). By using Sonarlex you agree to them. Contact: support@theopenapps.com.
- The game. Each day there is one secret word per language. You try words and Sonarlex tells you how close each is in meaning, by its place in a list of 28,271 English or 22,327 Turkish words ranked by openly licensed word vectors. Closeness comes from how words are used in large text collections, not from a dictionary, and can surprise you. Rankings, hints and the daily word are final.
- No charge, no account. Sonarlex costs nothing, sells nothing and shows no ads. You need a ChatGPT account; Sonarlex knows you only by an anonymous ID (see the privacy policy).
- Fair play. Don't automate play, probe the rankings in bulk, try to get the secret word out of the service before you find it, or disrupt the service. We rate-limit requests and may block abuse.
- What you type. Words you try are game moves. Don't type personal or offensive content; offensive words are not in the lists and don't count.
- Age. Sonarlex is for people aged 13 and over.
- Availability. We provide Sonarlex as is and may change, pause or end it, or reset the puzzle schedule. We don't promise it will always be available or error-free.
- Liability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from Sonarlex.
- Third parties. ChatGPT is run by OpenAI under its own terms. Sonarlex is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.
- Changes. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version.
- Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without prejudice to consumer rights you have where you live.
